When I arrived in Richmond the power/electricity was not working however, my flight attendants and pilot's were very gracious. Making the moments fly by without incident. Now I'm leaving and arrive and security is not opened so when I was inquiring, the police office she had a horrible attitude and cannot give me a time regarding when the security checkpoint will be opening. "When TSA said to open" as a customer I would think that you had a time or approximate time to open when flights are scheduled.
I have never hit any major lines or delays in Richmond. It's not confusing on where your gate is and very easy to navigate around the entire airport. They are very good with elderly people and getting them around.
Apart from using the airport for flights, I have also used it to rent cars. I have found the staff to be quite polite.
Flown to and from RIC a few times. The airport is not exactly a busy airport, which is a good thing and you won't see many people around. So there isn't a lot of vehicular traffic near the airport as well. It has been maintained well and you will see a couple of Audis on show in the terminal. The baggage carousel is very conveniently located near the exit so you don't have to walk too much with your luggage.
Very small airport. Staff are very vocal about what to do when you're going through security. That being sad it took a long time to get the small line of people through security. The atmosphere is nice, bathrooms are clean.
I have flown out and back into this airport many times and picked travelers up. The lines going through security is usually short, don’t have to walk far from one point to another. Don’t know nothing about the parking since I have always spent the night at a close hotel and rode the shuttle over. I can say picking passengers up parking was very simple. The flights had always been on time.
