In one sentence, this place sucked. I can’t believe this restaurant can survive. The dining room was loud, the service was beyond slow, and the food was mediocre at best.
The only thing that was provided quickly and regularly was the water. I drank a lot of water that night and felt quick full when I finally was able to leave two and a half hours later. Maybe that was the point of all the water, to make the customer feel satisfied with the food.
28th anniversary. Another perfect evening at Enoteca.
I got the feeling that because we weren’t ‘known’ to the staff, we didn’t receive service. In the time we were sat, the dining room filled with other diners. They were served, ate, paid their bill, and left while our table was still waiting for the server to take the dessert order. Yes, we had a large party, they tend to be difficult to deal with but there was so much time between each ‘check in’ that no one at the table was still deciding on what they wanted, we were all chomping at the bit to get the next food item in front of us.
Escargot of dinning experiences
The bill was done by hand. Yes, this is 2017 and all the items were added by hand with a calculator. This was so painful to watch. And in the process of figuring out our bill, our server had to stop, go into the kitchen, pick up another tables entrée and bring it out. Um, pretty sure one of your co-workers or the manager could have helped you with that. Luckily, we paid with cash so we said our good-byes and almost ran out of there.
I didn't even get to try the food because the service was terrible. The wait staff ignored my partner and I when we walked in. When we finally got seated, the waiter read us the specials and then when we didn't order a 10 dollar glass of wine (you can only order 4 wines as a glass and all of the glasses are 10-12 dollars) he proceeded to ignore our table and for a half an hour before we just decided to leave. He waited on plenty other people who came in after us. And none of the other wait staff helped either. I would give this restaurant a 0 if I could.
Best italian i have had in Richmond. Food and service were incredible. It is so clear that the pasta is handmade fresh. The texture was perfect. The duck ragu had plenty of meat and a well balanced red sauce. Italian wine selection is broad. Waitress was very pleasant and gave great suggestions.
Each couple had their drink order taken, waited, and then served before the next drink was taken. We all sat at the same time, no late comers. I was sitting for 45 minutes before I received my first beer. (Yes, I know this is a wine bar, but I was there with a friend, her choice.) An hour into the dinner, the appetizer came. Another half hour waited for the entrée…..
Really great wine at great prices
