Terrible service was there yesterday for Mother's Day and it's disgusting grass half cut , no weed eating done no trash cans to discard old flowers looks like you need a new maintenance crew!
We have asked several times to replace the sidewalk where my mom and brother and grandmother is buried we trip on it evrrytime we visit ot is all broke up its horrible.to this day nothing has been done and my mom died in 1995 the rest of family was a lot longer.
My mother is buried at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Richmond VA. I gave it 1 star, which I really didn't want to give any stars at all because they don't deserve any. As we celebrate birthdays, holidays at my mom grave site, we tend to bring knick knacks and attach them on her concrete slab that we purchased...but every time we go to visit the grave site the staff throw away all her knick knacks without warning us. We was told we can place the knick knacks there so long it isn't in the grass area. My mom use to collect knick knack since she was a child. My advice to anyone that plan on using Greenwood Memorial Gardens services ,DON'T DO IT. They have no respect for your deceased love one at all. They claim that they changed management and things changed but we was never informed of any change in management. DO NOT DEAL WITH GREENWOOD MEMORIAL GARDENS ON 12609 PATTERSON AVE RICHMOND VA.
giving one star because I couldn't leave a comment without tapping on one. This was once a beautiful serene place to visit my mom. Today I arrived to find that since Mothers Day all of my tiny memorabilia was "stolen" not by a stranger or the maintenance people but by the New Owners. That was their answer "someone must have stolen them". But have their bright yellow new rules pamphlet taped next the front door. Which I would not haveseen had I not gone into the office. There is a special place in hell for "the new owners". If I could dig her up and move her I would. You have broken my heart and my dad had to watch me fall apart. Your behavior is disrespectful and disgusting. I will tell everyone I know what this place has become.
Linda Hoffmann this ha been posted to Facebook as well as every other form of social media I can think of...
My experience from beginning to now is actually disheartening. My daughters death was sudden (age 24) so therefore we did not have any arrangements. My father transferred his plot to me so we could bury her. We went into the Greenwood office to transfer ownership of the burial plot and during this time all Bill was concerned about was selling me and my husband another plot. I had to "nicely" explain to him we didn't care about another at that time!! He STILL tried to up-sell! Fast forward to today. I had a flag at my daughters grave took it off for "spring clean up" after which I returned the flag.. (It's been there for 8 months) I went to visit yesterday and the flag was gone. After calling the office and being informed that the "rule" is nothing outside the vase, they threw the flag and the pole away. As I understand that there is a rule in place (apparently on the sign at the entrance of the cemetery) I feel like a letter should have been sent out first for me to rectify the situation before tossing out something that was near and dear to me as well as my deceased daughter. The professionalism is ZERO, the empathy is at ZERO. As I understand that you all do this work daily and you have hardened to it.. I sure hope when your loved ones die you get better "customer service".
