I had a really great experience. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and friendly, and I came away with four great bras that fit wonderfully! I'll definitely go back!
Not just for old ladies .. The name alway made me think it was just for older folks and people who have difficulty finding a size .I was happily mistaken, I am 30 and discovered it when I needed under garments for my wedding dress and was referred by friend. I did end up buying from them. They had what I was looking for that was unavailable elsewhere. The lovely young ladies were super helpful and waited near the dressing room door in case I needed another size. I will be visiting them next year as they also stock unique swim suits and bikinis some vintage style (which I totally love)
A girlfriend told me to check out Blythe so maybe my expectations where a liitle too high. Beside the outrageous prices and somewhat snooty staff the return policy is absolutely horrible. If I am going to shell out 100 bucks for a bra then it should be pretty much perfect. They didn't even measure me, she just asked what size i was currently wearing. After talking with some more people who also had issues with their return policy I wish I had never stepped foot in that store. Now I am stuck with a 100 dollar store credit and absolutly no desire to return.
I have always experienced excellent service and selection at Blythe. Admittedly, this is a higher end lingerie store with higher prices, but the personalized service has meant that everything purchased has become treasured. I've also received personal thank you notes from my sales associate and when I go back in, they know my brands and even my style preferences based on past purchase history. This is a great little business, and if you can afford to indulge, do.
I got a wonderful fitting at Blythe in 2007. It was something I REALLY needed as I am now in a 38G, a size I never even knew existed. I look a LOT better, and I was grateful. Didn't even mind paying $200 for a matching bra and panty. They only had one bra from the manufacturer that fit me, but promised they'd call when their order came in. That's where the service failed. Frankly, I went on line and got it cheaper. I would have been more loyal after that great fitting, but they didn't call and it's a long drive. Nonetheless, I am returning to them now because I need an updated fitting. I will purchase at least some of my bras there. P.S. Why is THRILLED Andrew buying a bra? Maybe Blythe serves royalty! Okay with me.
The only area that needs addressing has already been mentioned by another reviewer..Follow through. I have been twice and both times I gave my information for alerts for upcoming sales etc, or new product. One was for a trunk sale that the sales girl mentioned would be happening in a week or so. She offered to call and remind me , but alas no call. I forgot so I missed out, and so did their cash register. Follow through and personal service can help a small business stand out. -- I am looking forward to future alerts, but we will see. ;)
