Great place to stop when traveling, especially if you have young children. The children's museum is awesome and lots fun though a bit pricey. I did wish they had more of a traditional food court as sit down dining with a really little one is challenging. The mall was scenic with cute little play spaces.
Don't forget about the restaurant offerings outside of the mall and nearby.
Great stores. Wonderful place to walk around with kids. Great kids play area. Comfortable sitting area. Upscale stores so expensive to shop their.
Please pack your patience on the weekends as it is very crowded. It's not as crowded when it's cloudy or rainy.

I do not enjoy shopping in malls and don't understand the popularity of outdoor "malls." This trip, my first visit to one of these shopping areas in four or five years was pleasant enough with very few shoppers in our way. Our purpose was to get a phone repaired at an Apple store. It took over two hours of being shuffled around to various locations in the store and needing to make appointment to leave and return later before being served. We were successful in getting the phone fixed but I will be happy not to return to Short Pump Towne Center for several more years. I'm pleased not to have need to visit an Apple store very often or to be forced to be constrained in Apple's unpleasant prison-like "walled garden."
Rather than shopping, some people are here to window shop while others come for brunch, lunch or dinner and then to "hang out" at the mall like the teens.
There's a comedy club, Funny Bone, for those interested and Hyatt and nearby Hilton for travelers.
Stay away from Godiva chocolate store. They are the rudest people I have ever met. Mgt allows it and is rude to.
Pretty nice shopping mall with a lot to offer. Traffic around the area is managed fairly well for how busy they get. It's always a go to of ours for all of our needs. There seems to always be a lot of things for the kiddos as well as the adults.
There's easy on and off access to interstates 64, 295, and 288.
