One of my favorite places for happy hour around town. The have a great selection of food and drinks. You can't go wrong with ordering their oysters, mussels and crab dip. Try to come early because this place fills up fast! Parking can be a bit difficult as it's all steet parking but so worth it
Great place for seafood at a reasonable price. Amazing atmosphere whether out be nice low lit dinner or a little lively bar scene.
My wife and I decided to give this place a try tonight, since I found out is was oyster Monday. There was practically no one there at 4pm, so we were seated right away. We ordered 2 dosen Chesapeake oysters, which came out promptly and served ice cold with all the oyster condiments. The mussels that we ordered werent cooked thoroughly. After letting the waitress know, she relayed he message to the cooks. Shortly after we were delivered a brand new batch of mussels, that were honestly some of the best mussels my wife and I ever had. Great experience and great food. The suggestion I have for the wait staff and cooks is to notserve mussels if over half of them are closed. The mussels are most likely undercooked.
We went at 4 pm on a Friday. Just a few diners, so seating and service were fast. I like the open airy feeling of the rear seating area. We ordered a pound of steamed shrimp and the Virginia oyster sampler. The shrimp were served with a garnish of chopped, steamed carrots, onions, and celery, sprinkled with Old Bay, which was a nice variation. The oyster sampler offered a range of tastes from mild to salty, a good introduction to Virginia oysters.
I would reccomend any other place. Had a nightmare encounter with a bartender and i will never recommend this place to anyone... i will say the boss was great and appologized on behalf of that scum of an employee but the experience has forever left a bad taste in my mouth. Spend your money elsewhere!
