Food was great. Love the sweet potato tots. But we got here at 11:15 before the lunch rush so we could be in and out quick. Dad's in the ICU, so we wanted to get back to the hospital quickly.
I have been to Toast a handful of times. Their brunch is excellent I also really enjoy their sweet potato tots (they come in an adorable galvanized bucket). The tots also have a delightful sauce; it is a little spicy but the flavor is very complimentary to the sweet potatoes. Most recently I had a chicken pesto style sandwich. It was SO good. I also highly recommend their apple slaw as a side dish. I can't wait to go back!
Sadly, they burned the chicken for one of our sandwiches. Our server chose not to tell us, as we watched everyone else be served. Finally after a couple of queries about our food, it arrived with a quick 'sorry we burned the chicken and had to cook another piece." Manager came by to apologize but noted how busy they were as a reason for our delay. In the future, when one person's food is burned at a 4 person table, don't hold back 3 meals while you fix the fourth. Or at least allow us to choose. And always tell your customers about the mistake when it happens, not 15min later when they finally get the food. Lastly, when this happens, please comp the sandwich that was burned. Nothing was deducted from our ticket.
My cocktail and the Cuban Reuben were fantastic. It was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Definitely try the sweet potato tots as well! The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was quiet and chill. I would recommend this place to others.
They don't believe customers when they are overcharged. Watch your bill because i tried to resolve with management but was basically called a liar by Scott. So won't come back again and hope people save their time and money and eat somewhere else.
LOVE this place since the very beginning. Minus a few off nights over the years (we all have them) this is a go to choice. You MUST get something serves with the best homemade ketchup ever! Seriously...i wish they would bottle it and sell it.
