Absolutely love this store! Russ and Charlie are super friendly and always find ways to make sure we leave happy. They are always getting new and interesting things in stock, and if they don't have what you're looking for they'll find it for you! Make sure to stop by frequently because things go fast! I no longer live in Richmond, but I swing by Red Books and Coffee whenever I'm in the area and pick up a handful of books each time for a very reasonable price. The book section has everything from old yearbooks, NYT best sellers, children's books, audio books, and more. The book buyer keeps the selection fresh and varied.
I've been going to this store for about two years now. The inventory is a perfect mix of second hand furniture, new clothes, previously worn clothes, and used books. The selection is always changing.
I went for the books and was not disappointed. Of all the book stores in Richmond this place has the most incredible selection at the best price.
The co-owner, Russ, is normally in the store and is invested in his customers. He will be on the lookout for you if you let him know what you're in the market for.

This is a really neat spot - crowded, but in the best way. Used books/comics, furniture, video games, DVDs and pretty much everything you can think of in every single available space. There's also an area set up for clothing, jewelry and the like in the front, although admittedly I didn't check it out as closely. Cash only for now, but all books were $4 with a lot of great titles to choose from!
Russ was very helpful and friendly when I asked him questions about his merchandise. I was able to get a great deal for many furniture pieces. If you buy things in a bundle, he will lower the price of each item. When I bought a couch, Russ was very kind to add bedding with the pull-out couch FREE of charge. When I didn't find the perfect couch, he immediately checked his second warehouse to find better suited one. This store is a must-go for college students! There is a collection of books, lamps, furniture, clothes, and other knickknacks.
