This store is 100% the staff is unfriendly and Unknowledgeable. I’ve taken brand new items to them as well as simple items like jeans and heels that have been rejected for being out of style or worn. Purchased a sweater yesterday that had tears in the knit and returned today to be told I could only get a store credit for an item they should have never accepted based on their criteria!!
I would have rated 0 stars but that wasn't an option. The staff is extremely rude. Seems like the manager only speaks to certain customers. I've tried selling brand name items such as Steve Maden and Jessica Simpson that has Never been worn and my items were turned down. I looked through the selection in the store and I've seen several clothing and shoes that had the "wear and tear." Also I'm upset because they marked on the sole of the shoes with permanent marker. WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this location at all!
Their staff is nonchalant the clothing a shoes in their sucks i brought new pieces in there and didn't even get 5 dollars dont take your styff in there to sale they are full of it they dont even give you a reason for not buying the store is dirty and clutterd and no prices on some items.
I brought my items there for them to review and possibly purchase. I was told I'd get a text message when they were done with my buy. I came back to the store to get the scoop. I was told they weren't buying anything and to try a different consignment shop. I took my bag, placed it in the trunk, and left the store. Imagine my surprise when I went to the next consignment shop, opened the bag and discovered that someone at Plato's Closet had kept at least 6 pairs of my Seven brand jeans. When I called the store, no one knew anything and of course said they didn't have my jeans. Police report has been filed -- but beware -- evidently this location steals things.
I really wish there was a zero or negative rating option because this is the worst store I've ever been to. I've gone there plenty of times for years and the staff have always been rude af. They really need to learn to hire better employees. I have tried to sell many, many brand names and new clothes and they always end up buying one clothing or nothing at all (at a very cheap price to even sell btw) talking about they're mostly "too worn out", "not in style", or had a "tear" but if you look at all the things they sell, it's mostly ugly style or very worn out or damaged. Last week, I went to sell and they told me that they were done selling for the day and then laughed as I walked away with my things. I went one more time today at 6:30 and they stop at 7 and then told me that they were not selling on the weekend but they literally bought items from a customer next to me in my face. Worst customer service EVER. Either fire your employees and hire better professionals or just shut down your rip off store.
