Great food, cheap food, good service. They can be a bit stretched thin in the evenings because of hour popular this place is but they're never rude and always do their best. One of my favorite places to eat. If you don't eat meat, would highly recommend the portobella press.
I recently went her for the first time for lunch. It's was ok. While the sandwich I got tasted good, I found the toasted bread to be too crunchy to eat easily. I'm not sure if this was traditional to the sandwich style or not. Kuba kuba has a nice theme to it befitting a Richmond restaurant.
Regardless it’s worth the wait.
Kuba Kuba has all sorts of delicious Cuban food, but my favorite is always the Cuban sandwich. Plantains are served fried as a side and they have dollar High Life ponies. What's not to love?
Travel an hour out of your way to eat here.
One feels the vibe upon entering this unique diner that mesmerizes the eye and feeds the sole of authentic cuisine. Be prepared to see some rough edges, menus needing replaced and lines starting early on Sunday evenings.
Keep in mind that they won't let you sit until your whole party has arrived, and be prepared to wait for a while for a seat on the weekend. It will be worth it!
Food are big and affordable... oh I believe they tasted delicious though. Maybe go try it yourself and let me know. :-)
