Went right at 11 lunch time. Food was great well worth the money spent without knowing anything about the place. Better than mamajs. And I support the black owned business ✊
Despite the reviews I went there for lunch on 06/30/2017. I probably won't return. The restaurant is too dark for my taste. The food was hot and presentation was good. It wasn't what I expected the fried fish did lack flavor, the collard greens were a little a salty and tough, plus the mac & cheese reeked of garlic* (yuck). We ordered two but only one mac & cheese came out with our food. After tasting it we really didn't care for it and had almost finished with our meal when we were about to ask for our check and cancel the second one. We explained we were just about to cancel it to the lady who brought it out. She apologized for the delay saying she had completely overlooked it on the original order and smiled politely while sitting the dish on the table saying to my son "well you have to eat it now". The more appropriate response would have been to take it back to the kitchen and remove it from our bill." Anyway trying to be polite and not make a scene I requested a to-go box for the mac and cheese. * I like garlic but not in my mac & cheese and it was so overpowering you could smell it through the flimsy plastic container we were given to put bubbly hot food in?! My son suggested someone at work might want it. I ended up throwing it away partly because it tasted and smelled awful and I wasn't sure if plastic had melted into the food because it was so hot. To the lady who brought it out NO HE DIDN'T EAT IT ANYWAY. I wish them well in their future endeavors and God Bless. So now I know.
3 stars because the food is good BUT if you have 5 or more people get ready for a 20% added gratuity that will shock you because they don't let you know upfront! I went to the Friday seafood buffet and was disappointed...got there around 6:15pm (they open at 5pm) and all the crabs were gone...no more to come that evening! I went with some friends and I don't think we will be coming back again anytime soon....for what we paid the service wasn't worth it to add a 20% service charge and to run out of food is not a good thing at all anytime.
Service was well-timed and friendly, This food is amazing! They aren't afraid to put some seasoning on it! Taste like your at your kin folks house!

This place is awesome. Service was excellent, made you feel right at hime with family. Food was great, everything season to perfection. And there was plenty of everything. Salsa dancing, music company service. We will be back. If you want good service great food. Even the other customers made you feel like. family. Black own an operated. Go support
