We came on off hours and Sabai was still absolutely slammed. Service was very slow and I couldn't find our waiter to refill my water after we got our food. The fried rice was decent, and the half of pineapple that came with it was unique. I also enjoyed the red curry. The portions are very large.
I went with a friend on a weekend afternoon it was such delicious food. Most entrees are big enough to share. We got a dish that came in a pineapple and I was happy that they were able to separate the eggs out for me.
Loved the decor! The night food was reasonably priced and full of flavor. Reminded me of the warm night's I spent at the Thailand night markets. Would definitely go again! Didn't take any pictures of the food because I inhaled it. ;-)
The food is good, but not worth the wait. Every time I've been (3-4 times), I've had to wait over an hour to get poor service, wrong drink orders but absolutely delicious food. They have a seasonal pumpkin curry that is tasty, and their drunken noodles are excellent. If you have nowhere to be and are not deathly hungry, it could be worth the service woes. There was one time that they refused to seat four of us at the big table because you need a minimum of five to sit there. We waited for over two hours -- horribly in the way because there's nowhere to wait -- and at no point did anyone sit at the five-top. Why bother saving a table when you're busy for a large group that **might** show up? It was insult to injury.
Delicious, well balanced flavors and generous portions. Funky decor and lively atmosphere (busy Friday evening). Table would have been a 30-40 minute wait, so we ate at the bar, where we saw some cool looking cocktails served.
