Awesome flavors; everything is well seasoned. The portion sizes are ridiculous so be sure to bring a hearty appetite. The USS Brooklyn is excellent ; the jerk is kinda spicy if you like spicy. The beef and lamb combination in the USS Sultana is great. The wait staff is very friendly and offered excellent suggestions. If I lived closer I would visit weekly.
Great lunch spot! The sandwiches are huge, even when you get a half. I got the SS Lafayette - which has shrimp & artichokes- and I was really satisfied. Also, they have coca cola and root beer made from real sugar (from Mexico & Louisiana respectively). It's a nice atmosphere inside, with cool art & fun salt and pepper shakers.
Unadulterated. Just amazing food with a no frills attitude. Portions are big in size and in flavor. Mix of coffee mugs that you'd find at your grandparents house and a staff that matches your grandparents hospitality. You won't be disappointed here.
Incredible food. Went with the USS Brooklyn. Only did a half, colossal! And, delicious. Bread was fantastic. Being from the Philly market I know good bread. The roll was top notch. Though you might be completely filled with your meal you must try the banana bread. Our waitress, Laura, insisted and she was right on. You have to have the banana bread pudding, AWESOME!!! Thank you, Laura, for the excellent service. We will definitely stop back in next time in Richmond.
Took my daughter for mommy daughter brunch. It was excellent. The sausage and gravy portion was enormous and excellent. Limited seating, but excellent food, lots of strange art as conversation starters. awesome experience, 11/10 according to my daughter.
