I don't understand why my dog was the first to be dropped off and the last to be groomed, despite making an appointment well in advance?

They are my go to place for high quality dog food and treats. I've always gotten wonderful service regardless of who is running the store, or whether it is the weekend or a weekday.
His hair looks great but we will never be going back again, as it was clearly a very traumatic experience for him since he has regressed back to the timidness and extremely submissive behaviors he had when I first adopted him in December.

Made my grooming appointment 2 weeks in advance after an initial consultation with the groomer. was told to drop my dog off at 830am and that he would be done by 3pm. Got a call around 2:45 saying he wouldn't be ready until 5:30 now because there were "more dogs than expected". So I showed up to get him at 5:30 and was told it would be another hour. Returned at 6:30pm and he STILL wasn't ready. Ended up taking him home at 7pm. 10.5 hours after I dropped him off for his "scheduled appointment". I informed them from the very beginning that he was a rescue and didn't do well in crates. Yet he was left in a crate for an extended period of time, with no bathroom breaks or water I assume, due to the accidents he had in my car and the 2 full bowls of water he drank when we got home.
Locally owned with high quality products. Staff are knowledgeable and always helpful. Plus there is a store cat!
