The Amazon era has not been kind to the Toys R Us brand. Toys R Us seems to have descended to the discount or dollar store level.
Excellent staff helped me alot
I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the cashier was sweet. Other than that, I will probably never come back to this store. I came in with a specific play kitchen set in mind to purchase for my almost 2 year old for Christmas as it was on sale and I had a gift card. Said 2 year old was with me and riding in the cart. We immediately found the kitchen set so I went straight to the register to explain that I wanted to purchase the kitchen but couldn’t fit it in the cart, and could someone help me get it to the front of the store since I also had a small child with me? The cashier said sure, and asked one of the 3 other employees standing around chatting with each other for assistance. FIVE MINUTES LATER no one had moved. Still just standing around not working, chatting. I finally asked the cashier if someone was going to help and she just looked at the group chatting and said “well I asked”. Annoyed, I walked back with my daughter in tow and had to DRAG this big box all the way to the front with my daughter on my hip. After finally paying (which had its own set of issues), I asked the cashier if I could leave the kitchen set there for a moment while I loaded my child in her car seat and pull my car to the front loading zone. She said yes, so off I went. When I walked back into the store and picked up the kitchen set and started to walk out, one of the 3 raggedy employees that had been chatting started telling “hold up, what are you doing?!” like I was stealing it. Didn’t help a damn bit, but accused me of stealing when she had no idea what was going on. So I replied “I paid when you weren’t helping or paying attention” and walked out. Terrible customer service by ratchet employees.
Bad customer service. Selection of specialty toys are mediocre. Overpriced. When the cashier asked if I found everything I wanted, I said No and her reply was "oh."... oh? She didn't even ask to help me find the product I was looking for .When I handed her the cash at the register she looked like she did not know what to do with it .It took her quite a while to count out a $1.37 in change .
All employees were very helpful. Store was clean.
This particular store was clean, well stocked, and well lit during my visit.
