Nice little museum. Mostly personal artifacts and flags but interesting nonetheless. Found the white house tour to give additional context that is not really present in the museum itself.
As a member of the military, I received free admission. However, I feel like the actual admission is a little high for what they have, though what they have is nice. The main exhibit is a timeline of the famous battles. The house is an additional fee, but the tour guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining.
Since 4.5/5 is not allowed I'm giving this a 5 star. The tour through the Confederate White House was very good and interesting. The museum was good, but did not have as much as I expected.
Good collection of captured regimental flags. Enjoyed the tour of the confederate capital and home of Jefferson Davis the best. Was a bit disappointed that research library was not open for the public.
This was very interesting. All of it. Hayden was our tour guide and he was great. Incredibly I formed and knowledgeable about Jefferson Davis and the tour of the Confederate White House. An interesting part of our history that I don't think as many people are aware of as they should be. I hope everyone finds a way to take a tour through this mansion. The museum was nothing special, just the same as any other Civil War museum. There aren't any notable artifacts that they have there that make it special. I was hoping they would have the bonnet they captured Jefferson Davis in, but no. :)
