Wonderful tour of the great house. The sign boards in the basement add great color to what food preparation and cooking was all about in those days. The tour docent gave us perhaps the best narrative we have ever had in touring old homes; far greater detail about what was in the home and what actual life in a mansion was like back then than elsewhere such as the Biltmore Estate (we're from North Carolina).
Great place to walk around. Perfect for small children.

It's absolutely gorgeous! The mansion, the farm, and the animal farm. Had a really nice time. My only complaint Is that they have no food or drinks, other than wickedly overpriced vending machines. Bring you own!
