My wife had a compression fracture at T-12 and saw Dr. Scioscia. He did a great job!! Luckily she did not need surgery. By the way, she was misdiagnosed by 2 other doctors.
Surprised to see there aren't more reviews for this guy. A little bit about my background and back pain; at the time I went to see him I was 26 years old and had on going back pain for 10 years. I had a small fracture in one of my lower vertebrae and most doctors I went to stuck me in a brace for 6-8 weeks and send me to PT. It would feel better for a little while then I would do something and it would go out again and I'm back to the drawing board. This was off and on for 10 years. I live a very active life so eventually i would always do something to make it go out. The last time it went out I was doing triathlons and probably over trained and triggered it again. I never originally wanted to go through surgery, but I had enough. There were some mornings I could barely tie my shoes. Something had to be done.
Scioscia took an Xray and took the time to show me exactly what was going on and what he recommended, as he already knew what i've tried in the past and obviously didn't work. When we talked about surgery he told me all the possibilities and what was going to happen and what could potentially occur during surgery. Not to have this post go on forever, I had the surgery and he fused the spine and put screws in. To help with the recovery I've done a lot of core work to help support it over the last 2 years and now I'm stronger than I've ever been and couldn't be happier. I'm an avid cyclist and pre surgery I could get on the bike maybe once a week; now I'm riding 4+ days a week and I've put almost 2K miles in this year. Highly recommend Dr. Scioscia to anyone dealing with back pain. Life shouldn't be lived that way.
The best surgeon ever. Just operated on me for the second time. 5here is no one like Dr Scioscia. Yeah. The very best
He fixed my neck I have two new desks and I've had no problems since then when I have more that need to be done he will be my doctor to do it. He's really good doctor.
Great Dr. Easy in and out. All long waits and I have gotten 2 spinal steroid injections. So helpful. Great staff ! I really like and trust!
