UPDATE ***DON'T BELIEVE THE FALSE POSITIVE REVIEWS, PEOPLE.*** Obviously they have paid people to lie for them so others will be tricked into believing they operate a LEGITIMATE business. Or maybe they are actually trying to get it together. Regardless, they still took my money, left us stranded, caused my child to miss 3 days of school, caused me to have to send my child to live with someone in order to get to school, and prevented me from being able to return to work. I am the individual they left stranded after 12:30 midnight with my child as they hung up on me and went back to sleep. The van stopped running 5 hours after I rented it. The car they sent me back to the empty dark parking lot to swap to started smoking less than 30 minutes after I went to Wawa to put gas in it. Cristina, the manager, said someone would meet me there at the parking lot, but of course, no one was there. Both vehicles were on "E", although the paperwork automatically shows "F" for full, and both needed cleaning. The car they left for me at almost midnight even had a stick, a pink balled up rag, and a tied up white grocery bag on the seat with something black in it. I guess however the previous renter drops it off, that is how they rent it. They even tried to send me back to the lot AGAIN to swap to ANOTHER vehicle after the car they swapped with me started smoking at 1am. Who rents a car to keep going back to the lot to swap to another broken down, dirty, no gas vehicle? Do NOT believe FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Even the BBB still has an A+ rating for them, and I filed a complaint explaining everything that happened, which Global Car Rental falsely answered after it had been closed more than a week due to no response from the business. The State Corporation Commission knows what happened. The Attorney General's office knows what happened. The Consumer Protection Agency knows what happened. Went to court and the judge would not hear the case because the registered agent could not be served. You have to find someone to serve in order to sue. Does Cristina have a last name yet? I thought it was strange that she only signs her first name with the last initial "T". Now, I understand. If anything happens to anyone in their vehicles, these State offices will NOT be able to say they were unaware of what was going on because I have told EVERYONE in detail with pictures, even the Federal Trade Commission.DO NOT let them say, "this is the first I've heard of it". That seems to be the scapegoat response. I pray to God no one gets hurt because their vehicles ARE NOT up to standards. They DO NOT check those cars before they rent them again. Cristina even tried to rent the Envoy to me that someone had just returned a few hours earlier and complained it was burning through gas. Just because they rent it to you does NOT mean the vehicle is ok. You can't drive their vehicle out-of-state, but Virginia is a nice size. What if I had been hours away in the middle of the night with my child when this van stopped running or the car started smoking? There is no accountability here. I would NOT trust their vehicles. This place has been operating WITHOUT a business license for two years. I guess if you want to operate a business ILLEGALLY and take people's money, Richmond, Virginia is the place to be. Everyone knows what has taken place. Everyone knows about their ILLEGAL business practices. THEY ARE OPERATING A BUSINESS WITHOUT A LICENSE AND as of June 2017 HAVE BEEN FOR TWO YEARS.I guess they have some deep CORRUPT connections. Many seem to be covering for them. No one wants to hold them accountable. ... I will update as I learn more information about Global Car Rental and their ILLEGAL RENTAL CAR BUSINESS.You would think if they are operating ILLEGALLY they would try their best to provide excellent service.Their CORRUPT connections must be deep around here.Come to RICHMOND, VIRGINIA if you want to OPENLY operate a business ILLEGALLY, TAKE PEOPLE'S MONEY, PUT THEM IN DANGER, and STILL have an A+ BBB rating. RVA is the place for you.
She said my husband rented before and was not allowed on there premises mind you my husband dosent even own a driver license!!!
The people are extremely nice and the car are very affordable, it was only $40 to rent. They have a wide amount of selections you can choose form all of them are the same price. I highly recommend this place.
I had the worst experience with this company! Long story short I went to rent a car for a couple days to go to NYC mind you after I paid the lady at the front desk asked me where I was traveling too I told her NEW YORK CITY she then informed me that I was not allowed out of state after I made my payment and then tells me there is no refund this woman is really out of her mind and the trash she try to put me in is beyond trash I'm suing the hell out of this company and before I see my lawyer I'm going to the better business bueru don't ever rent from this company absolutely the worse customer service !
i read these bad comments in shcok because i rented my first and was a total A-Hole to them just having a bad day they didnt give me a no i cant help you or anything they said whats going on i told them about my FEELINGS lol and they didnt need know anything and they put me in a car due to issue with my money and living situations and price was in buget and then i broke down i called they answered it 3:00 am anyone would have left me honestly but they didnt man in red came to me crack so jokes we made light of the situations and then the car wasnt doing right so he said hop in the ferrari which to me i wish i was in a car like that but it wasent but he was just making sure i was alright took me back to the Rental company put me in a newer car the gave me a free day due to coplications and kept checking up on me till i was good i rented for 5 months and now have a good reliable car they told me to head down to a certain dealership and they put me in my dream car 2010 ford mustang it was thanks to the honesty the love and family i now call global car rentals good bless all of you who work their and never let no one tell you nothing different.
