I took it to Cheryl, and she recommended sending it to her designer Berj in CA. He works exclusively with lasers, no soldering, there is no one in Richmond who does this. He gave me two choices, try to fix the shoddy workmanship, or he could make an identical ring (and he guarantees his work). I chose the latter. I received the ring last week, and it is absolutely exquisite. The workmanship is beyond compare; he even tweaked the design slightly to make it more wearer friendly. Berj also designs rings, so if you want a unique design or need help as I did, I would highly recommend talking with Cheryl. She’s the best!
I met Cheryl a few months ago when searching for a reputable, knowledgeable and honest jeweler. She was the only one who had 106 5-star reviews which are well deserved. I had a beautiful multi-diamond band which needed to be repaired. The initial workmanship was so shoddy; I lost a diamond almost every time I wore it. The prongs also snagged my clothes. I took it to a well-known jeweler in Richmond; their metalsmith assured me she could fix the ring, no problem. When I got it back, it was worse than before, the prongs were covering the diamonds, snagging my clothes and I lost a diamond the first time I wore it. I had paid a lot of money for the repair and took it back on three separate occasions, every time she tried to fix it; she made it worse. The last time I took it back, she became very nasty and said there was nothing else she could do. So it sat in my jewelry box for three years.
I am extremely pleased with my experience with Cheryl Fornash. I have small fingers and she helped me select a style that fits my hand perfectly. The quality of workmanship is superior to anything I have had before and highly recommend her for any jewelry needs.
