I had a great nights sleep and I probably will not stay here again because of the scent. I appreciate the nights sleep at the last minute considering it is very hard to find a nice spot in Richmond at the last moment.
The place was under renovation so the lobby was unfinished, but it was clean. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly. The room was also clean, but it smelled like stale cigarettes. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice desk and office chair. The shower was HORRIBLE. No other way to describe it. We just needed a convenient and safe spot not far from I 95 and this fit the bill for $64. Fine for one night, not recommended as-is for more than that.
First time staying. And absolutely loved it. Fully renovated luxury style and whirlpool worked good no issues. Clean. Definitely staying here again. Perfect for couples.
The location was easily accessible coming of the highway exit. The service and staff at the hotel were very pleasurable and professional. The room was very well kept and clean upon entry.
We had a great stay in Petersburg thanks to this hotel allowing our dog. She was great ambassador. The room was clean with a microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator and a comfy bed. It's right next door to a weekend flea market (Bellwood )with some great fresh vegetables. Bellwood Flea Market is paved and has a main office that serves hot food and has bathrooms. It doesn't appear as they allow any other food vending. There is also a Burger King on the other side of the hotel if you just want something fast to eat. Free breakfast in the hotel with eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels and a waffle maker. The staff is very friendly. We have a 120 pound dog and they were a little startled at first but once that say she was friendly, everyone was saying "Hi" to her. The only complaint we had is that we ordered a whirlpool room and they had ordered a part for it but it was the wrong one so it took forever to fill the tub, but they gave us a discounted price. So, we didn't have a problem with that. It happens. Other than that, not much noise and I slept great! We had a great visit with our son who is training at the reserve base thanks to the wonderful people at this hotel.
The bed was great and the hotel staff was nice. The place was under renovations. The moment I opened the door there was a horrible smell. It either smelled like mold, armpits, or a foreign country with no deodorant. I had to turn off the a.c. and the smell was still there, but less potent.
