Decent Holiday Inn and pretty close to the city and University areas. Rooms are a little old but had some nice updated things. Decent breakfast in the lobby too.

Besides that and the creeper elevators, our stay was quite nice.

We had visited Virginia in the past with more expensive named hotels...and had made reservations at said hotels because of my husband's disabilities and his service dog ... upon arrival at those said hotels we were told we could not stay after driving from Florida.

Staff were all friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were alright. Bathrooms were a bit small compared to other holiday inns. Wifi worked well, and a decent amount of channels on the TV.

Nikia was working late we had gotten stuck in traffic. She got us extra pillows to help prop my husband up before I could even get upstairs. She was so kind it meant so much after our long trip..Martin was so kind to help get me a menu and answer questions. There was a very kind thin young man at the desk who helped me when I accidentally locked myself out of my room..Tosha was a angel when I was again locked out my room and helped me get ice because my husband's back was hurting and we'll she was kind because we were in town for my father's funeral. She was just a great kind understanding person. We met many workers i wish I could remember every name from food service to desk clerk to housekeeping..anytime I looked lost or had a question they were friendly and helpful...

My only complaint is that the website is a little misleading speaking of their only few minutes walking distance from the historical monuments. Wellll, its about an hour walk and its only one monument of Robert E Lee. The upside is, the walk was nice and i loved looking at the old architectural buildings and houses.

I'm from Missouri and every time I come to this area I stay at this hotel I love it everybody is so friendly and nice the hotel is extremely clean and within walking distance of a lot of different places I think no matter who stays here we'll have a lovely time I have enjoyed my stay very much looking forward to hearing it from other people who stay here have a lovely time

This hotel on Staples Mill Road had handicapped bathroom to fit his wheelchair and limited mobility. There was never a issue with his Service Dog. Not the newest hotel or the shiniest but it made up for that in kindness and service.

The staff is really friendly the atmosphere is nice as well as the rooms.
